Are You Drowning In...
Business Blues
Multiple days a year you want to give up on your dream.
Spoiler alert: It can help but only makes it a little easier.
Procrastination
You have so much to do but aren't sure where to start, so you don't start. You are frozen in fear. Maybe you need to have someone tell you what to do next or "hold your hand" in a sense and keep you accountable.
We can do that!
Lack of Motivation
Slightly different than procrastination, you are lacking motivation because you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel that this hard work will pay off. You need a pick-me-up, something to look forward to.
Did someone say bi-monthly talks and co-working sessions?
Materials
You think you finally have all the right tools then something new and shiny comes your way, so instead of implementing what you already know, you keep buying MORE and are now just confused by allllll the things.
By the way, you are enough and you have enough.
Clarity comes from action, and implementation beats education, any day.
Imposter Syndrome
You don't feel like you can talk to your family and friends about your goals because they will just ask you "Who do you think you are?!" Imposter Syndrome has set in and you no longer believe in yourself.
Borrow someone else's belief in your abilities until you trust yourself.
Loneliness
You aren't necessarily bored, but you are definitely lonely in this entrepreneurial journey. You wish you had a community to cheer you on while you cheered them on through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
We do that!
And the List Goes On...
We've Been There Too!
Become the Female Entrepreneur Powerhouse You Know You’re Meant to Be.
Imagine having a community of female entrepreneurs who are non-judgmental about your struggles because they have been there too!
At Mud on My Stilettos, we are creating empowered women who can empower women.
Hi! I'm April.
From a young age—probably seven or eight—I dreamed of owning my own businesses. Yes, businesses, plural. My childhood ambitions included running both a Chuck E. Cheese and a 7-Eleven. I loved everything about those places as a kid (and yes, I still have a soft spot for Slurpees!).
Sometimes, I think my entrepreneurial spirit is in my DNA. One of my grandfathers owned two motels (and maybe even a gas station), while the other ran a snow cone route—think ice cream truck, but exclusively for snow cones—and a commercial cleaning business that tidied up strip malls before they opened.
I launched my first business in 2016 at age 33. When I joined my local Chamber of Commerce, I quickly noticed I didn’t quite “fit.” The room was filled with bank presidents, nursing home CEOs, real estate agents—mostly older men. While I deeply respect those roles, it felt a bit isolating as a solopreneur and a woman. Few, if any, truly understood the unique challenges I faced.
Since then, I’ve grown and sold that business (and thankfully got out just before COVID hit!). Fast forward to 2023, and I decided it was time to create the support system I wish I had back then.
My mission is simple but powerful: to build a nourishing community that provides female entrepreneurs with the momentum, accountability, and resources they need to thrive. My vision is to see women building such successful businesses and fulfilling lives that they naturally inspire and empower other women in their communities.
Fun-ish fact:
The name Mud on My Stilettos comes from my own story. Back in 2012, when I had a “real job,” I was a single mom to two little girls (see pic) and constantly running late for work. To save time, I’d take a shortcut from the parking lot to the door to swipe my badge—and, without fail, I’d get mud on my stilettos.
That messy daily routine sparked the idea for Mud on My Stilettos. While the concept has evolved over time, the heart of it remains the same. Today, Mud on My Stilettos is all about getting down in the trenches—doing the hard, necessary work (the mud)—while embracing your power, beauty, and confidence (for some, that’s best represented by stilettos).
Oh, and I also have a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in International Business from St. Louis University and a Master Certificate in Business Communication from Harvard. I kind of know what I'm talking about, kind of...maybe, almost. I definitely struggle with Imposter Syndrome and am a work in progress. Thanks for reading this far!

QUESTIONS?
I don't think anyone in the Accountability and Co-working Membership will have the same type of business I have, so how can this help me?
Sometimes this is a good thing! Oftentimes our own audience is not going to tell us when something is off. They just stop ordering, stop coming around, etc. Having someone not in your target market take a look at the problems can give a new perspective you had not yet thought of. Sometimes you can be so close to your business that you can't see the problems in it.
Is it ok if my kids are home during the meetings?
Whether you homeschool, have a sick kid home for the day, kids on Spring or Winter Break, or your kids are out for the summer, having a kiddo home during meetings is 10000% ok. Remember, our founder started her first business as a mom of 2 and now has 4 with an age gap of 18 YEARS. It's more than likely 2-4 of them will be home during calls. We just ask that you stay on mute (but everyone should be doing that anyway unless they are speaking.).
What if the membership isn't for me? I'm just not into talking in meetings.
Our founder, April is an introvert, so she totally gets the not liking to talk in meetings thing, but we don't see why this membership wouldn't be for you! Come join, listen and soak everything in. Participate when you feel comfortable. Everything we do is very informal. If it's not for you, that is fine too.
By the way, we aren't JUST meetings. We are also all about private (non-Facebook) community networking and just plain ol' keeping your spirits up. You'll find your tribe even if it's not us, but if you read this far, you already know you belong here.
Start your weeks on the right foot with a goal, a clear path how to get
there, and breathe easier knowing you have a strong group of
female entrepreneurs willing to help along the way if you need it.
Here is a more detailed version of what's included in the membership:
Two Accountability Sessions per month (Group)
Two (2) sixty to ninety (60-90) minute group Accountability Sessions per month. These are held Mondays at 12pm (noon), Central (10am Pacific/11am Mountain/1pm Eastern). This gives two (2) weeks per month to listen/learn/hang out/celebrate/grow as a business person then two (2) implementation weeks per month to work on your business or yourself before we meet again.
If necessary, we may occasionally break into smaller groups so everyone can get the attention they need and have the chance to ask questions. Keeping the groups small also helps everyone get to know each other on a deeper level which is fun because when someone has a win, it becomes personal for you too!
Two Co-working Sessions per month (Group)
Two (2) sixty (60) minute Co-working Sessions per month (think roughly every other week). This is where you can hop on and just work together in silence or talk/ask questions/brain storm in a breakout room. These are just nice for those of us who work at home and might not have any other adult interactions during the day (ha!). YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BRING GUESTS, so this is great if you are wanting to interview someone or you want to co-work with a friend who's not a member.
Midweek check-in form
So we can celebrate wins in the next Accountability Session
One on One "Getting-to-know" You Call.
This is NOT a sales call. This meeting will take place after you join the membership and is simply a way to get to know you and your business on a personal level so we can better understand how to tailor the membership to meet YOUR needs. It also helps us put a face with a name!
Chance to be featured as "Client of the Week" on our social(s) and/or blog
This is where we will feature your company's info in an IG Live or Reel (because those currently get more reach than Posts :-) ) and/or blog which could help your website's SEO. Borrowing someone else's audience is often the best way to grow your own audience and therefore business. Help us grow as we help you grow.
Access to a private community (NOT a Facebook Group)...
Where you can ask questions, help others, etc.
The occasional meditation and/or mindset session
The more these are requested, the more we will have.
Virtual meeting backgrounds to use in any meetings...
Not just the meetings with us. Spice up your day with fun backgrounds!
Motivational Desktop and Phone Wallpapers
Kind of self-explanatory. Sell these if you want! We don't care! Make that money, girl!
